Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel and refers to a system of seven basic energy centers that carry energy, or prana, throughout the body. Open and balanced chakras lead to optimal health, vitality and consciousness.
The second chakra: Water, emotional identity, oriented to self-gratification. It is located a few inches below the navel. and is associated with water, the moon, emotions, sexuality, nurturing and being open and receptive.
If this chakra is out of balance, we may feel emotionally unstable, overly sensitive, guilty, ashamed or isolated. When balanced, we feel a sense of joy and pleasure, sexual fulfillment and fluidity of expression.
